      top 5 currently:

      1. Fargo
      2. Inside Lleweyn Davis
      3. Burn After Reading
      4. O Brother, Where Art Thou?
      5. No Country for Old Men
i have seen almost all of their filmography, except A Serious Man & Ballad from Blah blah Sruggs or whatever it's called. it was their second to last movie. i'm waiting for a new movie to come out bc, unlike Nolan or Ridley Scott, they hardly miss these days, but apparently they don't even have any in production status. sucks 😞

Good shouts but I think no country for old men belongs higher.
You're saying Nolan and Scott 'miss' or am I misunderstanding?
Every Nolan movie is 10/10 aside from tenet which I've still not properly watched. Oppenheimer is one of the greatest movies of all time

Dunkirk is one of his finest: if emotion doesn't pour out of you watching this you're dead inside

i have seen The Prestige but so long ago that i would have to rewatch
                          that
. i remember liking it tho
i really didn't like Inception. i thought it was just a super funky mess. i did like The Dark Knight, but only bc of Heath Ledger the madman. i didn't care for the other two Batman movies he made. his first feature, Following was okay, like, for a debut. i don't even remember i've watched Memento. lol probably not. that's everyone's favourite tho, right?
                          anyways, Interstellar remains Nolan's masterpiece.

Tenet hit differently for me on a second viewing
i was absolutely doinked in the theater when i saw it and i didn’t retain anything but still enjoyed it
second time viewing it at home sober i loved it
gets overlooked & **** on by nolan fans but tbh i think it’s one of his best films . sir kenneth branagh is just too ****ing good in everything

You're saying Nolan and Scott 'miss' or am I misunderstanding?
what i mean is that both continue to make movies that are extremely hit or miss. Oppenheimer is a good film, i just dont care much for it. Tenet before that was just weird and kind of a mess. Ridley Scott's The Last Duel 2 years ago was amazing, a truly dark and very boldly shot and acted late masterpiece whereas his House of Gucci borefest that came out the same year was hard to even get through, and his newest stinker, Napoleon, is just utterly embarrassing beyond any tangible words.
the quality of Coens movies is just so much more consistently good, their last bad film that you could actually call a failure, The Ladykillers, was released in 2005. that's 18 years of producing and churning out movies every 2-3 years and never missing their mark.
