I think this is the main theme:

It certainly sounds pretty good.

Oh Lord, I could go on for hoursI'll try and really condense it
For the most part, I hate them for getting all the glory and praise in the world, while every single year there are much better animated films that get either partially or completely passed over. I wouldn't mind that if Pixar consistently brought out original films, but within 5 minutes of literally any Pixar film, I know exactly what's going to happen for the next 90 minutes. They're stories are allll the damn same, and the monotony bores me completely.
For me, the only films of theirs that came close to greatness were Up and the first Toy StoryWALL-E could've been if it had remained original and inventive for more than the first 30 minutes, but the last 30 were just the same usual slapstick zany-action that's in every one of them. And for me, nothing exemplified it more than Toy Story 3a fine enough film, sure, but THAT GOOD? People were basically saying it was the next Mona Lisa, and for what? Everything that happened in that movie, save the admittedly touching final scene, was already in the first two Toy Story's. Incredibly redundant.
Anywaysfor the most part, I don't think they make bad films. Just really mediocre ones; ones that are consistently over-praised when much better animations come out and are either ignored or sidelined, like How to Train Your Dragon, Waking Life, Waltz With Bashir, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Antz, Over the Hedge, Studio Ghibli films, Polar Express (yes, I think Zemekismotion capture trilogy was better than almost any Pixar film). Those are just a few examples, and they happen every year. And finally, my number 1 reason for hating Pixarthey have a godawful attitude. Not only are they so self-congratulatory, their movie trailers often feel like the studio is masturbating into my eyes (check out the first WALL-E trailer, which was literally just shots of the filmmakers talking about how great they are), but theyre also whiny little babies when they don`t get their way. Take The Annies, the big Oscars for animated films. Pixar wins every award known to man, but then in 2008 they lost to Dreamworks when Kung Fu Panda beat WALL-E.
Now, I think Dreamworks Animation is better than Pixar, but even I gotta admit this was a wacky decision. However, did Pixar take the loss like a man and suck it up? Nope - THEY BOYCOTTED THE WHOLE SHOW. And then loudly said to anyone who would listen, "Clearly the Annies are biased and staged and full of crap" (slight paraphrasing, but only slightly). Then in 2010, they lost again - this time TS3 lost to Dragon, which is 110% right, and the only time all year that happened in any awards show. Their response? "Well, d'uh, that's why we boycotted them. Totally unfair". What a bunch of losers.
Anyways.sorry bout that
I tend to rant when Pixar is brought up. Suffice it to saythey're not my favourites. Still, thoughBrave looks pretty awesome. -

Many thanks for the links, guys. I enjoyed listening to them. The main theme was really rather good. Thankfully, it won't be long before the movie's out on DVD and we can both listen and watch it all over again.

All good writing is swimming under water and holding your breath.

Right now, this may be the best score of 2012. But I wasn't crazy about it. I also think Doyle composed better ones in 2011, particularly Thor. But I'm enjoying his music in recent years, I hope he keeps up the good work.
