What do you mean by "relevant"?
I think music is still extremely relevant, but like movies and TV, the increasing number of options out there has made the Top 40 less relevant than ever. Artists you or I have never heard of have massive followings and without any help from radio or the media.
The real concern, as with everything else, is AI. From the perspective of corporate CEO, why pay songwriters, musicians, and engineers to make music when the algorithm is able to do it for free? This will hit some genres particularly hard: pop, gospel and mainstream country are all quite limited sonically and in terms of lyrical themes.

It happens with age. I lost interest in modern music back in my 40s.

What are you babbling about.? Music is still good. It's movies and tv shows that have turned into sht.

It's becoming more of a background thing, like movies. Just something to have on while you scroll on your phone. It will become relevant again after another Carrington Event.

As a social/cultural phenomenon (e.g., hippie/60's music, punk, metal, hip hop), probably not. The days of music subcultures are over.

Music will always be relevant. You have years and years of music to listen to. So much to choose from.
It will never die even though the composers and the artists who performed the music have.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.
