What y'all don't seem to realize about singing.

The overwhelming majority of people CANNOT sing. Full stop. That's putting it politely. Singing is COMPLETELY unnatural, it takes YEARS of experience to get even half decent at it.
If you think Miley is a bad singer just check out any random video on Smule, she is probably in the top 50th percentile.
There are MUCH worse singers out there because singing is DIFFICULT.

A large part of it is natural ability. If you aren't blessed with a good singing voice that has naturally good range and good timbre then no amount of training will make you into a good singer. Most people just aren't born with good singing voices.
