      AI Overview
      The TV show
The Edge of Sleep is about a night watchman who discovers that everyone who fell asleep the night before has died. Another show, Nightmares & Dreamscapes, is an anthology series of chilling tales based on Stephen King stories, which sometimes feature deadly dreams. Additionally, Death by Fame on HBO Max explores how Hollywood dreams turn deadly for people in the entertainment industry.

Do you remember a show where a woman backs up into a nail and turns into a moth?

          No. I'm afraid that I don't.
I just googled it to see if there might be something like that. There are a few interesting reults, but nothing you described.

I recall a fun episode of Circle of Fear from the 70s with Janet Leigh and Rory Calhoun.
            The episode is Death's Head

                You're welcome.
After thinking about what you described, that episode with Janet Liegh came to mind, but I wasn't quite sure. Glad to have helped.
Now, I want to watch a few more episodes of Circle of Fear, so Thank You!

                  focused on the real world
Of course there has. Hundreds and hundreds –maybe even thousands – even going all the way back to the earliest days of television.
                  killed by their nightmares
                  Arguably, Rod Serling's "
                  Night Gallery"
, for example. Or even his "
                  Twilight Zone
                  ".
Where do you come up with these ridiculous questions? They're like maybe from someone only age seven?

Yeah, I think you might be thinking of shows like Nightmare Cafe or some episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark?, where dreams or nightmares had real-life deadly consequences.
