While Ringo is good, I'd have to say that there are other drummers better than him, including his son. However, thinking of his son, maybe drumming is in his DNA.

Paul's kids? Meh.
John? His own father was a huge disappointment. He didn't have many role models when it came to him being a father. I do believe he tried in a half assed way.

He wanted to be a musician. Julian was a surprise package. He was born just about the time the Beatles hit it big… scratch the word, big. They were huge. He had no life. For that matter, he didn't even really have much a a marriage.
His second marriage was for love, and don't give me your feelings about Yoko, because it doesn't matter about what any of us think. I think he wanted to be a good father to Sean, but he died when Sean was just a little guy.
I'm not saying that john didn't have his faults. From what I have read about him, he could be an asshole. I do get the feeling that as he grew older, he did try to be better than his own father.

Why is not having children odd? Not everyone is cut out to be parents and it's a heck of a lot better to know that beforehand
