Yesterday I upgraded Guitar Pro to version 7.5 because now it features a
Line in
functionality.
This is very cool but I need an external sound card to minimize the latency. I have zero experience with this and I can't find more information about what sound cards will work.
The guy on the video uses a
Focusrite Scarlett 6i6
but I wonder if a
Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen
will also work.

Guitar Pro is a music sheet and tablature editor in which you can also use effects and such. From version 7.5 on you can plug in your guitar and play along and it will transcribe what you're playing.
I also have a drum kit, but I purchased a cheaper Chinese kit.

Have you tried the game rocksmith? Itβs quite good for guitar playing
I prefer the drums tho - my Roland kit cost almost a grand, and playing along to system of a down is truly an experience

I can't tell from this video but does the hi-hat physically open and close? The one in my kit doesn't and that's the only thing I don't like about it.

In an acoustic drum kit, the hi-hat open and closes controlled by the pedal, right? In an electronic kit you have the pedal to control the effect but the hi-hat is just a pad, it won't open and close. However, I've seen someone on YouTube playing an electronic drum kit with a hi hat that opened and closed. I can't remember the brand.

dude roland electro kits are ****ing beauties
i was always kind of a purist when it came to drums and never thought anything could compare to a real kit but my buddy bought one a while back and when we jammed i was stunned
sounded amazing and u can plug right in so much more convenient for production and also if you have neighbors
iβm a bassist/guitarist but i want one so bad
