It’s nice Christina. It starts to get good at about the 3:15 mark.
As to whether it’s a good talent or not, I’m not really in a position to judge. But it certainly sounds like that violin is in the hands of a skilled player.
I couldn’t really get through much of the Sonny and Cher tune. That was a violent assault on the ears

Maybe, it actually had too much of a modern lilt.
I'd love to go put this on Reddit maybe.
Anyway, whoever played this might have practiced.
Yea, pop musicians aren't as snotty as young classical musicians today.

Yes, they sounded experienced. Keep at it Christina, you’ll get there. You have the passion for it, it seems.
I wonder how many hours professional violinists practice each day? I’ll bet it’s a fair amount. It must take dedication.

I wanted to see what kind of practice? Oh well, I saw some, anyway, some Asians etc. in college showing the day in a life of a music major. They went crazy with exercises in playing 2 notes at the same time and such. That is not my interest, that style. It reminds me of being in Talented Music and I could not understand why my teacher and friend played violin like that, like they were unsure of what they wanted.
I asked on Reddit, and it was a little peculiar. They had special books like by certain composers or maybe on the exercising side in some way. They would do these same peculiar things daily, totaling like 1 hour one time and 2 hours another time or more maybe.
Well, I stop when I'm tired, but I wish I were already playing a few times or more a day. So, I play like 20-40 minutes a time on a good day and usually only once or maybe lagging from the AM hours the night before. I keep a chart.

It's linked on my blog, too.
So, I believe in playing music, and I want to be in an orchestra and have ensemble/solo opportunities at my expense. I was thinking, though I want to learn German, I shouldn't play in an orchestra there because I'm not German. I was thinking I could be a featured guest or watch rehearsals or something.
So, yea, the people I encountered via the internet who do violin are incredibly cute. I had some teachers, but they didn't help much. So, I'm struggling to find harder literature..
I should go practice now but am not in the mood for exercises, maybe just fun songs and might record. I found that if you practice musical exercises more fully, if you don't feel like it another day it still helps than if you hadn't done it yet. It's midnight! I want to get to bed so I can do some errands and tasks. Still, it's hard to sleep if I don't practice etc.
Also, I was just watching music, too, I posted, and was singing along to karaoke, which counts a few points when playing violin if you also practice violin. I need to learn to be steady and wish I could play with a beginning orchestra, as it's harder than when I play alone, you know having to not mess up and to concentrate.
Exercises seems to help, I think, like I did some upper body workouts to stay in shape. It can't replace practicing something too much, but it is good when you do both.

I think you’ve got the right idea Christina. If it becomes too much work to the point of becoming unpleasant, you would probably burn out on it, and lose interest.

Wasn’t the one conductor (The guy that I said looked homeless) a Spanish guy?

Yes, the conductor is from Spain and has worked with this orchestra multiple times.
That seems like a cool app! I saved it to my bookmarks.
Well, I already learned music young, so I have a lot I can do with violin compared to adult piano students.
