She died in 2013, but I just read this Facebook post by her from 2012, which I found to offer some powerful insight on life:
Unfortunately the last 18 months have been a real challenge for me having breast cancer and MS and all the new places that will take you.You become sadly a patient in a world of waiting rooms, waiting sometimes hours for a result or an appointment and
you spend a lot time in cold machines like MRI,CT machines, hospital beds,on your knees praying for miracles, operating rooms, tests after tests, looking at healthy people skip down the street like you once did and you took it all for granted and now wish you could do that.
You can read a little more here:

That song was like my national anthem.

Then we should all be so ****ing grateful for being alive and being healthy, and never take it for granted. Unfortunately, human nature, being what it is, makes us blase, and we drift along, unthinking, day by day.
Once you're hit with the kind of tragedy that Chrissy had to face, imagine how the focus of your life must change. You have to wake up to the absolute reality of your own mortality. All those 'taken for granted' days, must now seem so precious.
Even if we don't die young - death will catch up with all of us eventually. I'm going to try to remember what Chrissy said.
