She was the biggest popstar around 2009 and opinion on her had no middle ground between hate and admire.
Did people get tired of her and think or was it just a matter of the quality of her work just dropping dramatically after The Fame Monster? -

I was right in the middle ground: couldn't deny some of the songs were bangers, but I could tell right off the bat that she wasn't as game-changing as she was given credit for. The wrong elements of the praise went to her head, and she chose to keep getting weirder while forgetting to be good.

I still believe she will end up one of the monster chameleon artists like Prince and Bowie within the next 10-20 years. She just has to learn to evolve a little quicker. In other words, Bowie went through his Lauren Bacall, Ziggy Stardust, and Thin White Duke periods all within six years. Gaga is still milking her Ziggy period. Imagine
Young Americans, Station To Station
, and
Low
as Ziggy albums! That's why Lady Gaga's career is fizzling!

I dunno maybe its because she doesn't make such pop classics anymore like she did when she first came out. She had such good songs before "born this way" like "Alendjro" and others. Its a shame since then she hasn't really written any great pop songs.

because there was less quality and substance to her work than people thought? the comparisons to Bowie are frankly insulting.

She isn't really as hip and trendy as she was around 2009 to 2010 and I personally enjoy her early material for nostalgia. Although I admit I might be the minority as far as starting to see her as a nostalgic act.

Her first album was like a pop masterpiece and then her second album to me was crap .. I agree with a lot of people that its possible her first album was just a fluke but she blew up so big that there was no turning back. She brought into the hype and that I can tell she regrets to day .. you can see it when she does interviews. She lost herself. She became one big stunt. I don't think she will ever be as successful again.. she will end up being a Cindy Lauper not Madonna

She fizzled in 2011 for the same reason Occupy Wall Street happened that year and her comebacks fizzle for the same reason that Hillary lost. People realized they were going to be poor forever and since then they just haven't been in the mood for people who pretend to be revolutionary but obviously aren't interested in poverty.
