If you're interested in fragrances of theseβ¦
Fresh coffee - Kerosene Follow. It's anchored to a conventional structure, so it isn't a heavy one-note gourmand. It can be worn in the warmer weather.
Roses - not really a fan of the note, but Diptyque L'eau de Tarocco is an exceptional rose married to citrus summer frag.
Grass - Profumum Victrix. It throws in the lawnmower.
Rain on hot day - PG Psychotrope. It's rain that can also smell like orange juice -

Same. I'm just drawing on my experiences with the hobby to see if I can come up with something fun and comparable to the real thing. Except Vintage Kouros (pre-Sanofi). That scent is equal to the best fragrances that nature has put out.

I have PJ, got it on ebay. Love it.
Have you tried Noir de Noir or Tobacco Vanille? Those are my other faves. Black Orchid does have a funeral vibe but that's part of why I like it. I like vampires and gothy stuff and when I smelled it I thought it smelled vampirey.

I have not. I've seen a few people say Tobacco Vanille smells like Un Crime Exotique. I can't imagine anything else smelling like Un Crime β the original, not 12.1. I also want to try Noir de Noir, Lavender Extreme, Lost Cherry + Fougere Platine. I'm not a fan of Grey Vetiver or Lavender Palm. I think Oud Wood might by my second to Black Orchid, so far.
Is Plum Japonais a heavy gourmand, or is there transparency like Extreme β which to me is plummy despite the fruit being fig. Have you tried Bel Ami Vintage? That's very gothic. Red coffins and cathedrals. It would be the kind of fragrance Johnny Depp would wear to vampirise a bit of its credibility. -

Nope, but I've literally spent a couple of grand just on sample vials. I was ordering 2-300 bucks a pop. They can be expensive (shipping is a real killer). I haven't sampled in a good couple of years, though. I'd say I'm familiar enough with 300+ fragrances that I could recognise them on first whiff. It's a fun passion.
