No. I'm here from IMDb. I've never had an account on Moviechat.
The moderation here is very laissez-faire. Site owner nimda himself told me: "we rarely delete things here. mainly only if it's doxxing, or hardcore pornography, spam, or advocating for something illegal. otherwise we almost always just let it go. i'm just not big on censorship." -

The new moderator is attacking both the Left, Right and everyone in-between including some decent folks in the General forum. He or she is a snowflake on a serious power trip.
I'm not a "refugee" since I wasn't banned, but I prefer a forum where posters can freely express themselves. So far, this site is pretty cool. And no annoying ads!!! -

Mod7 is clearly one of The Sisters, widely believed to be StoneKeeper, a hardcore Leftist who is purging the site of anyone who challenges Leftist bullshit, hence why he instantly banned SemiAnimus and myself.
He’s turning Moviechat into Reddit. -

Not Leftist because he/she is allowing the racist posts and is defending Trump. I know at least one of two Left-Wing posters who appeared to be banned too since their accounts were deleted. His/her warnings and purges are capricious and arbitrary since they don't follow their own user agreement.

When you get banned your account still stays up, account deletions are usually the result of a user self-deleting. Mod7 might fake-admonish a Lefty now and again to give the illusion of impartiality while Mod4 is still overseeing his probation period, but it’s clear this is a Sister on a power trip, purging non-Leftists.
However… if you truly believe that Mod7 is abusing their power - which is clearly the case - then you need to do something about it before the site burns down. PM Mod4 with your complaints and, more importantly, email Jim at jim@moviechat.org. If he gets enough emails about Mod7’s psychotic behavior and he sees his advertising base dwindling due to too many unnecessary bans he might kick the ****er and reinstate some accounts…
Additionally, start threads discussing Mod7’s tyrannical actions. Ask why he temp bans people without warning, refuses to post a list of offenses so people can actually avoid bans, and perma-bans people without explanation. Don’t insult him (he’ll delete the thread) but get people talking and sharing stories. It improves the chances of Mod7 getting kicked, or even leaving of his own accord if everyone clearly hates him… -

I've observed usernames with their posts being routinely deleted by mods when they found out a banned poster returned under a sock account. And one of my favorite posters had his username and thousands of his posts removed which was not a self-delete.
