PTA is too talented a filmmaker to make a terrible movie, but this thing really tested my patience and has severely dented the respect I had for him.
Mark Kermode and all of the usual Leftist reviewers are still giving this film an ongoing blowjob. Why? Because it’s woke AF.
All straight white male characters are either evil, evil
and
perverted, or weak losers. Meanwhile minorities are wholesome and decent, and black women especially are strong, independent, sexy, cool, badass and morally upright.
This movie is the kind of propaganda that made that psycho feel perfectly justified in murdering Charlie Kirk, and all of the various Leftoid ****heads who keep trying to KILL those they disagree with.
PTA is talented, for sure, and there are moments in this almost 3 hour film that impress, like a car chase towards the end, but it’s quite a slog, none of the characters are likeable, and the propaganda is laid on so thick it just gets… tiresome.
So while PTA is talented, he isn’t, it turns out, very bright, and he assumes his audience are even dumber. He’s a fully indoctrinated Wokist and he’s no longer making subtle and thoughtful films, but political dogma.
Do not pay to see this film. -
