Laxatives are not the solution. They can inflame the hemorrhoids and make them worse. What you need is lubricant in your rectum so everything runs smoothly down there and the hemorrhoids don't get inflamed. That's what fiber helps with. Cheeky's doctor is a ****ing **** for not having her on a fiber supplement already.
