Nah. They should have Ice T play Rainsford. And they should call it Surviving the Game, and it should come out in 1994.

Man leave him alone. This movie has been remade half-assed so many times above and beyond Surviving the Game that a genuine remake isn't a bad idea. Kind of like Jackson's King Kong remake.

serious;y this has been indirectly remade several times and usually badly. problem is they always make the hero and action star who kicks ass. in the original story the hero is outmatched and the villain is much more formidable. I'm for remakes when you can either do it better or much differently. I wouldn't mind seeing this as a direct remake, following the short story more closely with a good cast.
