Perplexing issue regarding the organist in the balcony.

The fact that there's the organist in the little balcony is interesting enough. But what baffles me is how in the heck did he get up there, as there's no steps or landing, nor any door; the balcony is fully detached, and at a significant distance, from everywhere else, and the pipes covering the wall behind the organ preclude any possibility of a hidden door being located there. So, would he have had to climb a ladder, that someone down on the floor would remove afterwards, and later would have to return so he'd be able to get back down? Curious - but interesting - arrangement, for sure, however it would have been gone about, if that were a real life situation!

I'm guessing the movers set up a temporary pulley system. Some places with narrow stairways still use this technique to move furniture into buildings.
Check out a Google search on the topic.
