Although the "big four," Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula and this film are my favorite films the Invisible Man is my favorite of the four.

Strangely, I find myself almost agreeing. I love the book and find the film very entertaining, if very flawed and clunky. And while the screaming (you know exactly what I mean) gets a bit weary after a while, I look at this movie as almost a parody of existing Universal Monster movies.
I put this on par with 'Frankenstein', another Universal classic that I adore. I can't decide which I prefer more. Frankenstein is a better film, but I find this one far more entertaining.
