A common cold is caused by a rhinovirus and the chance of 'catching' it is not related to temperature.
A scientist like Griffin will should know this, although I am not sure if this was known in 1933.

Griffin made a potion that could make him INVISIBLE. It's not unlikely that he also already made something that could cure the common cold

.I was recently watching the first episode of BBC "Invisible Man" (1958-60) TV series on Internet Archives. The issue of nudity was explained by having the invisibility causing gas not only making the title character invisible but also making his lab clothes, made of animal products like wool and leather, invisible. That sort of makes senseIn the other versions from Claude Rains to "The Hollow Man" the invisible character is supposedly naked. Maybe that is why he's always antisocial. LOL

I was, and am,of the opinion that Peter Brady's clothes were invisible because of a censorship problem. That tv, even (or maybe in 1958 especially) British tv couldn't have a naked man, even an invisible one in the same room as a woman and a little girl.
But throughout it all, my motto was "Dignity! Always dignity!".

It may be worth noting that in some of the later entries of the Universal movie series the "invisible person is naked" concept is played specifically for sexual tension. In fact, it is sometimes used pretty much as a dodge around the Production Code .. for titillation value. This was especially true in
              The Invisible Woman
, which was played generally more for comedy than for horror. I mean when the man who ends up as the love interest first meets the invisible woman he comments that a woman must have quite an unattractive figure to want to make herself invisible; she disproves that by putting on a pair of silk stockings (only a pair of silk stockings). Having only the form fitting stockings (visible all the way to the top of the stockings) on her legs really just calls more attention to the fact that she is standing there with the guy wearing no skirt or slacks or anything else.

I think he should have waited until summer to become invisible, then it would have been much easier for him.

In the "Fantastic Four" comic books, when the Invisible Girl disappears, so do her costume or any other clothes she may be wearing. Of course, it may be that she can control her invisibility to the point that she can project it onto other objects.

One scene that really gets me is when he kills Kemp - he destroys the car needlessly. Then he has to walk back? He could have killed Kemp & used the car to get around. Also the police idea to evade the Invisible Man lacked clarity. They needed to keep him there. By leaving him at his house the police idea was foolish and cost him his life.

You must be daft to think that exposure to cold weather causes illness.
It does not. It's being exposed to bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens that causes illness. Even the common cold, for example is caused by a virus, not by cold temperatures. Your elementary school must not have taught basic science.
