I couldnt believe just how much I enjoyed Invisible man. So much so, I plan on buying it for my collection. I felt this film had remarkable special effects, even by today's standards, and I couldnt beleive how "crazy" they made him out to be. Killing people galore and even derailing trains while manaically laughing? Talk about one hell of a ride and one I didnt really want to end. I knew, of course, with the restictions of how you couldnt get away with murder in films back then, he was going to die, bu they didnt cop out on that one either, waiting for the ONLY opportunity they had to finally get him.
It was awesoem all around and I truly believe this is the best of the 30's universal monsters pics. Anyone else just LOVE this movie? I think Claude Reins deserved an oscar, he was so convincing and devilishly evil, even when he wasnt there!! Talk about presense

I agree, although I rank the Mummy just slightly higher (mainly just because of the atmosphere). My wife and I are watching this film right now (it typically takes us a couple of days to finish a movie) and we love it. It's in my collection, although the DVD isn't nearly what I've heard the Blu Ray is (in terms of restoration). I've had the DVD for quite some time along with the other Universal monster movies. I think the Invisible Man is definitely the most psychotic out of all the monsters. He's also the most chaotic as in his destruction is seemingly out of control. The Mummy and Dracula in particular seemed to have chosen their targets more methodically outside of a few bystanders. Frankenstein's monster was basically a little kid that only did bad things because he was pushed into it or by accident.
