I set my DVR to record it this morning so I could watch it later, which I was really looking forward to - ha ha to that; we had a power failure right after she found the victim's body. Oh, well; just another first world problem of the early twenty-first century.

I'm so mad. I had it set to record on my DVR but it didn't. I love this film. It makes you think. TCM doesn't show this one as much as the other 2 Hildegarde Withers mysteries starring Edna May Oliver. 'Penguin Pool Murder (1932)& 'Murder on a Honeymoon' (1935). It's not on DVD or youtube either.

Interesting. I set my DVR a week ago to record it. I was surprised to see that this film (and Too Many Husbands) were both dumped from my DVR within 12 hours of the scheduled airing. I luckily noticed and put them back in. Curious, Mojo, what service provider you use. I assume it's not the same as mine (Armstrong Cable) and my only guess is TCM made some kind of last minute change to the schedule, which updated the cable guide temporarily putting a "TBA" in the time slot (I've seen that happen before) and then an hour or two later updated the guide with the correct data (which, ironically, was the same as the original data).
Or maybe it was just a coincidencelol. -

gribfritz2', just saw this after all this time. My provider is Directv. Two years later and now the problem is I constantly get blank slots on the guide in various timeslots and various channels. If there's something on I watch to record I can't since there's no title! Of all the choices Directv is still the cheaper one for fees, equipment & channel choices.

Try titantv.com for a better preview of what's on the schedules. You can customize the listings for what's available from your provider.
