Why didn't Glinda tell Dorothy about the fork in the road?

She is emphatic that Dorothy just needs to follow the yellow brick road. But you can't just follow it if there is a fork!

I think because it doesn't matter which direction you take, you'd still end up in Emerald City.
Maybe each route takes you past different things (the one Dorothy chose led through the forest) but they all end up at the same destination. -

Because she's a big jerk lol! Same reason she didn't tell Dorothy she could have been home long before her life threatening journey by just clicking her heels! Maybe she'd use the excuse "Oh she wouldn't have believed me."
