Neither, though at least I did enjoy
Casablanca
a bit.
I can think of dozens and dozens of black and white films which I'd rather be watchingand yes, all of them were released before 1970.Jim Hutton (1934-79) & Ellery Queen -

I'm not smart enough to grasp anything else. To me, a film is either black & white or it's in color.
I'm still working hard at trying to understand the Mickey Mouse episodes. Those are more up my alley, but I find them to be quite complex a times. Perhaps the Road Runner episodes are in order here, or maybe some episodes of
The Friendly Giant.
I'm still hoping that someone will explain to me how the giant in
The Friendly Giant
fit into that tiny castle.Jim Hutton (1934-79) & Ellery Queen -

funny story, a few years ago I was on vacation and actually found both of them on VHS at a thrift store. I still haven't watched Citizen Kane (I remember trying to on an especially rainy day and fell straight to sleep, but that could have happened with any movie), but I finally got around to watching Casablanca last year and I'm still not over it. What a film.

It really depends on what criteria you are using to choose between the two. From a technical perspective, I'd choose Kane. From a pure entertainment perspective, I'd choose Casablanca. I think Casablanca is arguably the most entertaining film ever made.
