OK I didn't see this movie but I want to bring up a different one that you reviewed and I just watched last night.
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
      I agree with your review.
This is a famous movie I had always been curious about.
      It just seemed too rushed.
One day these guys are working for a sleeze who is conning them out of paying them then the next they are taking off looking for gold of which they know nothing about it.
And if the old prospector had struck it rich before and lost his earnings why bother again?
And we are supposed to believe that after Curtain was shot he was able to somehow happen to find and crawl all the way back to the Mexican camp where the old guy is through the dark and survives?
They when they both realize all the gold is gone all they can do is laugh about it even though they did all of that hard work and suffering for nothing?
It wasn't well written to make it believable to me.
How can this hunk of junk be a classic and a famous movie?

That's one of the movies I've been meaning to see again. I wasn't sure if my first impression was wrong, thinking it was overrated because I saw nothing extraordinary, especially the famous quote. I will give it another go and post a review.
