I havent seen this movie, but it sounds alright.
    It's old, though.
Just wondering. How does everyone die?
    Who's the killer?
    And is it worth watching?

I haven't seen it but have seen other versions and since I have heard so far this is the best one I would say it is worth watching. And the book is worth reading.

Buy the Marengo Films version. It comes on a dvd with the movie from 1932 with Joel McCrea called The most dangerous game.
The print is great and great packaging. The other movie is awesome too!

I bought the Hollywood Classics Collection version. I love it, it's really cool and even has an interactive trivia game about the movie. I'm actually watching the movie as I type this

The "Image Entertainment" version is by far the best quality. The other prints look very faded and the synching is off; so "Image" is the way to go. The only extra it has is the original british title sequence which used the book's original, very politically incorrect title.

I just got a 16mm print of the British trailer and it, too uses the un-PC title. My print of the feature is the American release.
By the way, recently a school system had to abandon its production of the play because of what the title USED to be! Incredible. Accusing the school system of racism because of a long-defunct title.

I second the IMAGE release as by far the best picture AND sound. The opening credits are in rough shape but the quality improves immeasurably once the film actually begins.

Does anyone know how the Image edition compares to the Region 2 version at all? Is the Region 2 disc any good or is it worth ordering the Region 1 Image edition?

I will third the support for the Image release. Stunning transfer, and evidently the only one that was restored from the original negatives.

Marango dvd is fine but it is a dvdr. As far as I know the Image dvd has the best quality.
always check dvdbeaver if you want to compare
