Yes, I definitely liked this film. Of course, most Marx fans will agree that there
is
no "bad" Marx Brothers film! (not
altogether
bad, anyway
)

It's great to that most of their films (just about all of them I think) have been recently released so people can discover (and for others to rediscover) the great Marx Brothers.
It's a shame that this film doesn't have more posters on its boards.
Come on Warner Bros, give us our Blade Runner Special Edition -

As a dedicated Marx bros. fanatic I'd say thet they have made one bad movie "Room service". It is soooooooooo boring. It is like three boring men, who look like Chico Harpo and Groucho are playing the "Marxes". A complete waste of time, exept for the last 20 minutes. But I like A Night In Casablanca it is a good, and very funny movie, and the only chance to see Lisette Verea (WHY?)

Yeah, but the last twenty minutes are a scream, aren't they?
See, that's the difference between pre-
Day at the Races
and post-
Day at the Races
movies: the earlier ones are hysterical
films
while the later ones are good films with hysterical
moments
.

Thats wrong.. it is in NOW WAY harpos real hair.
Harpo was completly bald early in life and if you have seen photographs of him around the time of the movie. he has no hair.
Even Groucho who is alot younger then him was going bald then.
The wig is a bad choice it makes harpo look even older aswell.
You can also see he was going bald in the Animal crackers film (as now viewable on UTUBE is an outake scene with harpo and NO WIG and he doesnt have much hair even then)
By the way.
I love this movie. i only recently saw it and being a fan of the marx brothers movies all my life and only just finding a copy of this film, i am in no way dissapointed.

why always only the last 20 minutes?
Because the last twenty minutes are a hectic, mad, frenzied dash that seems to reflect the Marxes' humor better than the stuff at the beginning.

i think room service is the best of the post-day at the races marx brothers films that are considered to be not so hot. i think it's all enjoyable not just the great last 20 minutes. this one was decent. harpo parts and groucho trying to get the girl were the best bits.

A Night in Casablanca
is actually my favorite Marx Brothers movie. Unlike the other 'classics', ANIC is the most evenly funny throughout. Where all of the others have classic bits, they also have long sections that just drag, making you wait for the good stuff.
ANIC, OTOH, is just plain funny throughout without any waiting for the funny parts. Even the musical interludes hold your attention, probably because they're soley the province of the brothers without interference from any lame singers.
ANIC really doesn't get the respect it deserves. It should be right up there with
A Day at the Races
and
A Night at the Opera
as one of the Marx' best efforts. It's a shame it gets overlooked as something less than their other, so-called 'classics'. The early Paramount movies are really nothing more than their vaudeville act being filmed. The later Marx' movies (particularly ANIC) are 'real' movies.
Personally, I don't think any of the Paramount movies are nearly as good as a selected few of the later MGM efforts, specifically those made while Irving Thalberg was still alive and this one. -

Looks like i'm in the minority then. I thought this was an awful Marx Brothers movie. Every scene felt forced and Groucho wasn't being witty, just sarcastic. A lot of the comedy falls really flat apart from a few scenes with Harpo and Chico and the story is just really boring.
Still, gotta love the musical sections with Chico and Harpo though. As always
