And he oozed filthy sex appeal! Especially in the steamy scene where he wore a tank top and went down on Stanwyck which reminded me of A Streetcar Named Desire from the previous year. The brute attraction that his and Stanwyck's character had paralleled the smutty love that Stanley and Stella had in ASND. I even dare say that in that particular scene Robert, at 42, was a notch sexier than Brando as Stanley Kowalski who was 15 years his junior.

My two favorite actors in the same film; Ryan and Stanwyck. Can't ask for more than that. They also worked together in Escape To Burma, but it's not a very good film. I have about 75 of their films in my collection.

It's Timothy Carey. He was in one of my ten favorite films; ' Paths of Glory ', and a handful of others that I'm fond of.
On another subject; I was looking up the director, William A. Wellman, the other day, because I just ordered the new biography. Is my computer playing tricks on me, or do you also see an image of a young African-American woman? -

Boy, was I way off! I thought it was Mack Sennett in makeup, because he sometimes acted in his film shorts. I love William Wellman, and I really liked one of his early films about the depression era. He went his wife during that time, and

Do you see the same image that I see when you go to his page; a young African- American woman? I wonder who it is. I can't seem to figure out how to navigate IMDb's ' help ' link, so that I can notify them of the mistake.

Yes, I saw it, and I thought it was pretty strange. It must be a mistake. You can go to the contributions board, and the moderators will usually see posts citing mistakes and incorrect information. I usually do that when I research a celebrity when I find incorrect information. It works.

Well, if you can figure out how to inform them of the image mistake, please do it. I tried for the better part of a half hour and was unsuccessful. It seems like they go out of their way to make it difficult to get a message to them. I give up.
