I once witnessed a bird's nest catch fire because the bird built its nest inside the light and once the light came on it started a fire. It was awful and horrifying to witness the mother bird react to her nest and eggs catching fire.

That reminds me of the scene in
Miracle Mile
where a pigeon drops a cigarette butt into his nest. This causes a fire which knocks out the electricity in the protagonist's building. This caused him to miss his date with his new girlfriend.

I once saw a lamppost in the middle of the woods with nothing else around for miles. Then some guy with goat legs invited me home for tea and crumpets, all the while plotting to turn me over to The White Witch.

Pigeons wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for us using them. They all got abandoned once they were of no use. I wanna go get a couple and bring them home but they'd be riddled with god knows what

I really like pigeons and the ones round here are actually quite beautiful. There are some that are the generic gray colour but some of them are brown and white or gray and white and they have some really pretty patterns. And I find they rarely stray from where they have set up home (I guess they have nests somewhere) and they are always with their mate. There’s a white one who lives somewhere by my apartment and I can always recognise her and her boyfriend
Also, some pigeons have really cute hearts on their faces -

Same here. There are always lots downtown and many are white and quite striking. It's a shame they are viewed as like rats of the bird world. In my condo development we are encouraged to buy the expensive kind of bird seed if we choose to feed the birds because the cheap stuff attracts pigeons and rats apparently.

I swear we are the minority because people generally are so horrible about them. I was telling my friend the other day about my love of pigeons and she was looking at me like 🤨 I had taken two Xanax and had a glass of wine so I was babbling somewhat saying I was going to go on a photo taking mission to highlight their beauty but she did the generic thing of calling them rats with wings. I feel like I need to try and speak up for them as they are such an underdog!

Well I hope some of the pigeons manage to elbow the fancy birds out of the way and get some of that food
