The film was shown on french tcm in a "remastered" edition: that might mean that the film will be released soon on dvd.

WB just announced they plan to release this as part of their Film Noir Box # 5 in July 2010.

They did release a copy. Very nice clean transfer from what appears to be original film stock. Impressed with the quality though the sound (near the end) is uneven. The disc, offered by WB, includes two films. "The Phenix City Story" and "Dial 1119."

There is an offical DVD release from Warner: in a Film-Noir boxset, July 2010.
So, no need for bootlegs.

I just bought it in an eight film noir mpvie package on Amazon.
