In the very first montage of Jeanne Moreau walking the streets of late night paris, there is one shot of the side of Jeanne walking next to a glass window where i'm sure i see the face of a young Louis Malles in the reflection. It happens when she's giving a particularly "mad-in-love" expression. Louis appears to be walking beside her, watching her intently, out of frame except for the reflection. This can be seen only for a brief second or two. I've searched the internet to see if this has been seen as well, but i found nothing.

Do you think this was intentional or a mistake? I'll have to look again for it.

If it was a mistake, it was sure as hell a coincidental one. Stuff like this happens in movies all the time, though. For example, in There's Something About Mary, in the scene, where's Stiller's young character was being lifted into the ambulance (after the zipper incident), they accidentally dropped the stretcher in shooting (it wasn't in the screen play), and they kept it in there anyway.
So you never really know. I just watched the movie for the first time earlier. I'll have to see what you're talking about. -

I just finished watching the movie and I saw him also. I thought it a bit odd for a stranger to be walking on the street that close to her, but am glad I starting reading the boards and found out the truth.
