How do you keep the room pitch black with the windows open?
I don't think you thought this through very well.

Apparently you aren't familiar with what dark outside entails. You do realize there's light at night, and there's no way you could keep the room pitch black with open windows.
              This is just nonsense.
Walk into a room with no windows, close the door, and turn off the lights. That's pitch black.

The blinds are shut I only leave the windows open but perhaps you’re right , it isn’t dark enough

You don't. It would be physically impossible to have your windows open and simultaneously achieve pitch blackness. Simply not possible.

Darkness outside doesn't cause pitch blackness. Stars exist. Lights exist. Even at 2 AM, if you look outside your window you can see things. Even at 2 AM, if you're in a room with the window open you can see things. It's not pitch blackness.
