Kind of like the way that Elizabeth Taylor wore a slip for the entire first half of
Cat on Hot Tin Roof.

Didn't another character of Elizabeth Taylor's
also in a movie scene walk around smoking a cigarette
at a hotel room while in her undergarment slip
from the 1960 film " BUtterfield 8 "
or was it just this film you mentioned above here Jennie_Portrait ?I've been all over the world and I've never seen a statue of a critic. Leonard Bernstein

This was the first Twilight Zone I ever saw. I was instantly hooked. Not because of her but the story and plot. Now that being said, I also found her attractive and thought about how riske that had to be back in that era. This episode will always be special, for multiple reasons.

THIS COMMENT CONTAINS SPOILER
I believe that most films or programs that contain the "it was all a dream" ending is usaully a copout, even if the plot is done exceptionally well, it can take the story from fantastic to just pretty good. Now in Midnight sun, aside from the fact that the story was great, we did almost get the episode taken down a notch with the "all a dream" ending, but after she woke up and realized it was a dream, we then got hit with such a great twist that was not seen coming, and that made the finished product of this episode fantastic. -

The episodes that make the show so good are the ones where you can really feel for the characters. I really felt for Lois Nettleton and her neighbor because they really seemed like good people just going through something so extreme. I can't imagine 24 hours of sun and the temperature being 120 and only getting hotter.

And in life, often the good folks endure some of the most difficult hardships. But I think just the situation itself, how hopeless and inescapable it is, is presented so heartbreakingly and realistically Midnight Sun packs a wallop.

Going through such an extreme situation can make a normally decent civilized person not so I guess, like the man that broke into the apartment and drank their water. He then tried to explaine that that wasn't who he really was, that he was usually a good guy. Under the circumstances, I'm sure a lot of viewers may have believed him.
