Check out Agnes Moorehead in this, then watch her performance as a white trash housekeeper in HushHush, Sweet Charlotte, which was made 5 years later. Hard to believe the same woman played both roles, proving that Aggie could do anything!

Indeed, Agnes was a very versatile actor, who could play just about any kind of character. It's a shame she wasn't cast in more starring roles, but we'll always have

Agnes did have he lead part in 1972 Dear Dead Delilah. But The Bat is where it's at to watch her.
