Really?! That's interesting. Who did Jack Lemmon base his on?

I think in an interview once, Tony Curtis admitted to feeling a bit self-conscience in drag, but Jack Lemmon he said, "looked perfectly comfortable, he enjoyed it".

I'm almost ashamed to say I agree with you about Curtis.

At times I thought Jack Lemmon looked like Angela Lansbury on a very bad day. Tony Curtis reminded me of Louise Lombard of 'House of Eliott' fame.

When Jack Lemmon looks like a man, he appears slightly built but, when he was dressed as a woman his shoulders were broad, not at all like a woman should look like unless she was on steroids. You mentioned Louise Lombard from "house of Elliott". She reminds me on Jessica Brown Findlay who was in "Downton Abbey".

Yes, I can see the resemblance between Jessica Brown Findlay and Louise Lombard - both very pretty girls. It was only when Louise Lombard had her hair cut short in House of Eliott that I thought she looked a bit like Tony Curtis. I can still see a spooky Jack Lemmon/Angela Lansbury resemblance though lol.

My great aunt by marriage looked exactly like Tony Curtis did when he was in his fifties with his hair longer, that was in the 1970's. Her name was Thelma, but my sister and I called her Tony.

Jared Leto in Dallas Buyers Club looks like a more gaunt version of Jack Lemmon in this film to me.

Tony Curtis was such a pretty boy that's why.

Lemmon based his look on his own mother. They revealed it on the making of supplement on the blu ray. It was really well done it has archive interview clips of Lemmon, Curtis and Wilder.
