A space teen named DEREK??? C'mon! Why not Tab or Troy or Rock?? Spock, Gort, Zontar something! But Derek?! Jeez!

The evil robotic aliens on "Dr. Who" were called Daleks. The ones that looked like R2D2's evil brother and were all ways saying "terminate" in a electronic voice. They were nasty buggers.
People are just getting dumber, but more opinionated-Ernestine (Silks) in "The Human Stain"

Yeah, I know, "Daleks" was a cool name, very metallic and robotic. "Derek" is the newspaper delivery kid down the street. I never met anybody named Dalek.
