I believe it's already being remade today. It stars Antonio Banderas as the Dr. and the title is "The Skin I live In".

Just what I was going to say. "The Skin I Live In" is more of a revenge-fueled film, but you can see how heavily influenced it was by "Eyes Without a Face"

it's on TCM right now. Already creeped out. Never saw it before. I guess since Hitchcock is gone you have to go with the guys who are considered the best when it comes to the horror classics. John Carpenter, George Miller, Rob Zombie or Tobe Hooper.
I would get Giancarlo Giannini to play the doctor and Emmanuelle Beart to play the nurse.
i don't like remakes. especially ones copying a classic. it just never adds up to the original.
