is that she isn't remotely interesting.
Giving a pointless character a menacing storyline doesn't appeal to audiences!
No one cares about her and I'm pretty sure most people don't care about Maria!
If it was a well established, liked character who decided to turn loopy, maybe it would be more interesting. But Caz? No thanks.

Her acting is truly shocking, even Maria looks not bad next to her

Perhaps not the actual character but the idea of a person being spied on in their home remotely is interesting. I like computer scams and stalking in other dramas as this is the new type of scariness.

It's boring and I'm sure it will drag. Weatherfields Keystone Kops will arrest Maria despite the lack of motive or an actual body!

Plus the yearly storylines with characters being wrongfully accused and locked up by the idiotic Weatherfield plod is really boring. It has been going on for six years now, and wasn't even a great type of story back then. Plus we know there is no way in hell these long-term characters are going to be locked up and the short-term villains getting away scott free.

She has an invisibility cloak, clearly, because no one has spotted her on that busy street since her disappearance and there is no cctv footage of her anywhere. She can also pluck money for living expenses and spying equipment out of thin air, like a magician. Corrie is moving into superhero territory.
