Heston in his autobiography says she refused to do any kind of aging makeup for the last part of the story, so Rodrigo gets old and Chimene stays the same age. Silly. She didn't mind aging for "Lady L," and that movie sucked.
You didn't suffer as much as black people so stop acting special. -

Eh, it didn't bother me. She became a surreal character because of it her beauty never fades, especially in the eyes of her husband; that's the way i look at it. The situation's a bit like the promoter who never ages in Blood & Sand with Tyrone Powers

There are quite a few films that span decades in the storyline, but the characters (male and female) don't age: STORMY WEATHER, ALEXANDER'S RAGTIME BAND, THE ROARING 20s, et al.
