I thought you were going to mention the treatment of the Quarrel characterwhich was racist. And obviously so, making him role his eyes in fear while the 'laughing trumpet' plays on the sound track. Ignoring that but mentioning 'white people playing Asian characters' was ridiculous.

It wasn't so much racism as we understand it today. In the UK the Unions insisted that all parts in a film had to be first offered to British Actors and Actresses regardless of the characters ethnic background and god help any production that didn't. The producers would have to go to quite lengthy protests and demonstrate why a British actor couldn't be used.
This rule was dropped eventually but still existed on TV productions well into the 1980's. -

Bugger off.
It's barely even racist by today's standards, let alone those of the 19060s.
I see no problem with having a White man portray an Asian, any more than I'd feel offended at seeing an Asian man portray a White person. Provided they're not racially stereotyping (of which there is very little, and none by the "Asian" characters) I don't see why it's an issue.
I suppose you take offence at the fact that the 'Felix' character was changed in more recent films to be a Black man right? Or that every pretty much every Bond villain has been Asian or Russian for the last 50 years? Or that Bond (an English character) was played by a Scot for many years?
Plus as others point out, why would you mention the "Asian" characters, but not mention that Quarrel was more or less a minstrel-inspired simpleton, more akin to the "mammy" days than 1960s West Indies?
Please, take your offence somewhere else. We don't care if it offended you, and you being offended has no impact on anyone except your self.
(
I should also point out that 'Racism' as we see it is very much a Western term. Even civilised countries like Finland and Japan, with their 97% nationals view non-natives differently. If you want to experience true racism though, I suggest you visit parts of Africa (Zimbabwe for a start) or the Middle East. Not going to find a lot of sympathy towards those of a different race in those places.

Oh boo-hoo-hoo!
What the actual beep!? What the actual beep YOU! You call the movie
racist
because of Dr. No. What you're really saying is that interracial relationships are taboo, but their offspring are even moreso. Well that seems really, really racist on your behalf. YOU are racist. But the movie is awesome, way more awesome than you, you abhorrent and vacuous racist race-baiting Libtard!
Whatever! Gets your facts straight anyway, you silly broad!
