Liam Neeson
Ralph Fiennes
Daniel Day Lewis
All those three for a darker version of the character in the style of Daniel Craig.
In a more pierce Brosnan Sean Connery type i would have gone for
Collin Farrell
Eric Bana
Christian Bale
If they wouldnt have had their franchises already i would pick for the next Bond after Craig retires
Chris Hemsworth
Theo James -

Neeson I can't see as Bond. He's too gentle in my opinion. Fiennes is too prim and proper. Daniel Day Lewis has the most versatility but he's too old.
I can't even accept Daniel Craig as Bond although he was great in Casino Royale I'll admit.
Colin Farrell? Hell no. He sucks. I can see why Seth MacFarlane makes fun of him all the time on Family Guy. He has no charisma or versatility. That's another reason why Alexander could have been so great but BOMBED!
Eric Bana I could see as Bond cuz he's one of my top 5 favorite actors out right now. He's got the look, the charisma, and he has the ability to be that versatile. Only problem is I can't see him as a misogynistic type towards women. I see him as too much a good lover type. One who sticks to his woman, not just uses them and leaves them like the typecast of Bond is.
Bale? No. HE is way too aggressive and that overbite would really muddle his diction way too much. It works for Bruce Wayne, John Connor, and even the brother from The Fighter, but not the smooth talking diction of James Bond.
Chris Hemsworth is too beefy to play Bond. Connery I know was kind of like that too but he fit the profile nonetheless. I just can't explain why clearly but dammit he did. And Hemsworth would look weird as a blond Bond with blue eyes. I like Hemsworth though. He's got charisma and he seems like a classy dude. He's just too much of a hercules to pull off the smoothness that Connery could.
Theo James I can't see as anything mature. He seems to young presentation-wise. He's a good age of course and he's british, but he just seems to immature overall. Not in a bad way, just in the ways that would make him fit the image.
Not shooting your choices down. That was actually a good list. Worthy of analysis. If it wasn't, I wouldn't have said anything. -

I've always liked Bruce Willis as JB. I came from the days of "Moonlighting" so when he was cast in the action movie "Die Hard", I thought, "no way!". He sure proved me wrong.
Having said that, I think he would have made a pretty good Bond.

As much as I like Bruce Willis, I simply cannot imagine him as James Bond. Actually, I can't think of any American actor who would seem right as Bond to me.
Personally I would like them to don't go for a someone who's too much of an action hero type and would like to see someone more "classy", suave and witty as Bond (which doesn't mean the movies can't contain action sequences, but you don't necessarily have to be a butch muscle guy, as Moore, Dalton and Brosnan proved).
I've already mentioned some who IMHO would have been good Bonds in the past (some of them have been considered), but currently when it come to replacing Craig I would like to see someone like David Tennant, Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Armitage, James D'Arcy or Jack Fox.
That would be some guys who would get me interested in the franchise again, but if it's gonna be a Craig like type (or maybe an even more "masculine" tough guy) I think I'm gonna lose all interest in James Bond as I already didn't like Craig. -

On the special features for "The Living Daylights" Sam Neill was screen tested for James Bond, and I think he would've been a great one. I never liked Pierce Brosnan as Bond, but Timothy Dalton was a great Bond for his two movies.
