This is wild - I had doubted there would be ANY comments for this film, and yet I too heard of it/watched it for the first time last night, and I can't get that song out of my head either!
This was whacked yet really cool film - it's as if the director got hired to do a cheapo sci-fi thriller and decided to sneak in an art film in the middle of it! -

When Shirley AF sings a few lines, as she is leading MC to the gang, was a great moment. Like something out of Kill Pussycat Kill.
I just watched the movie. After I deleted it, I remembered I wanted to watch that scene again. Oh well. -

I'm disappointed there's no credit for the band on song on IMDB.
However, here's a link to the movie version of the song on YouTube:

If the link doesn't work, search for "Damned" and "Black Leather" clip as posted by "DTKIN" -

Lots of people seem to hate this movie; I love it. Everyone whose comments survive on this thread seem to like the song; I absolutely loathe it. I think I hate it more than the one inserted into 'Lust for a Vampire.' When the OP says performing it brings the house down I seriously wonder if he means with uproarious laughter. Both melodically and lyrically it's so repetetive it seems intentionally designed to get unwelcomely stuck in the listeners head to torment them for several days afterwards.
BTW, Macdonald Carey does seem ridiculous as Shirley Ann Fields' love interest. And she is incredibly gorgeous.
