Continuance of the human race against an alien invasion 1,000 years in the future depends on a man with an incomplete glass computer hand, and no memory of his past.
It stars Robert Culp and Arlene Martel who will play Spock's bride T-Pring in the Star Trek episode
Amok Time.
Rex Holman, another future Trek actor, also appears. It was filmed in the Bradbury Building in LA, which was also used as J.F. Sebastian's home in
Blade Runner.
There is no rubber monster and actually no
"demon".
Ellison included that word in the title to satisfy the network pinheads who loved the idea of bears.
This is one of the best two episodes which I have seen so far, and one of the best Sci-Fi shows ever. This is not surprising since it was written by noted Sci-Fi author Harlan Ellison. One minor quibble is the aliens from the future have raccoon eyes, and wear shower caps. The other episode is
Galaxy Being.
I gave both Four Zantis, and highly recommend both.
This, and the episode
Soldier
formed the basis for James Cameron's
Terminator.
There was a lawsuit about that, which Cameron lost. But he later
"cried"
all the way to the bank.
