Following a mission to Venus
(seriously?),
an astronaut finds himself constantly cold, and has strange dreams about encountering an alien outside his spacecraft.
This episode stars our old friend, William Shatner. Shatner as usual, chews the scenery, but this is not the worst problem. The plot makes absolutely no sense
(yes I know it's Sci-Fi, but still)
and the episode ends abruptly and illogically. We also see James B. Sikking of
Hill Street Blues
fame
(one of my favorite shows)
. And I thought of
Star Trek
when they mentioned
"Project Vulcan."
At one point we see Shatner's ID badge pinned to the lapel of his air force uniform like a note from his mother or his wife.
On your way home from Venus, please pick up milk, bread and eggs.
She, btw, has one of the goofiest monologues of all time.
Ironically the bear is actually kind of good. One critic called it an "underwater voodoo sock puppet"
(see below).
