Was Mrs. Bundy an old school lesbian?

Ms. Bundy (no Ms. back then!) looked, dressed and talked exactly like a neighbor we had as kids. She was a retired school teacher, never married. She scared us (avoided her side of the street). So she was old school! Was she lesbian? Probably!

I wouldn't say THE highlight but is a highlight.
You know if you get one chance to be in am movie with a bunch of other people, and something bizarre like a million birds, do something to make your character stand out. She did!
You know you can see and hear her right now and probably haven't seen that clip in awhile.

Bird watchers get an unfair rap. Ms. Bundy knew about birds, but I suspect she had few other areas of expertise. I'm reminded of Miss Jane Hathaway who was a bird watcher on the Beverly Hillbillies. Although Miss Jane was a least trying to get Jethro into the woods with her on one of her expeditions.

Bodega Bay is a big bird-watching destination, did you know?
Birders don't tend to dress fashionably while out bothering the wildlife, that part of the bad rap is fair. Good boots, floppy cloth hat (berets won't do BTW), baggy clothes with dozens of pockets for camera equipment or your reference library. I'm a sharp dresser in town, as are many birders, but a birder needs to be able to slog through woods and marshes without being slowed down by their clothes.

Ms. Bundy's other areas of expertise;
She makes the perfect dry martini.
She can start a perfect fireplace fire in minutes.
She can tell just by the sound when the carburetor needs adjusting.
She doesn't touch the carburetor though, she knows who to take it to.
She hardly ever misses when skeet shooting.
She can describe any character from any Agatha Christie novel and has always figured out the ending before hand.
She makes a mean deviled egg.
She mentally grades letters when she reads them.
She detests lists like this.

I had an old maid schoolteacher for an aunt when I was a kid, and though it never dawned on me then, she always hung around with two OTHER old maid schoolteachers.so maybe they were all three lesbianswho knew?
