You're an idiot. The movie is a conceptual thought piece to present intellectual puzzles, not present possible future realities.
You're supposed to be shocked and horrified by the concept of sacrificing a city, and then begin the process of reconsidering whether the whole "mutually assured destruction" concept has any merit to begin with, or if there are better versions to be considered.
At no point were you supposed to think: "Gol darn, THAT would NEVER happen in AMUURRRICA! Unless maybe some COMMIE PINKO got in office."

Just saw this movie and I gotta say I was expecting waaaaaay more these kind of threads where smallest notion that might be percieved as 'leftist' is immediately seen as Evil Commieloving Marxist Stalinist (insert more if want) treason against AMERICAAH!!! Lovely.
