Just watching the 1959 film SOS Pacific and there's so much in common with Flight of the Phoenix, even the same actor in Richard Attenborough!

It's one of my all time favorites! Just don't watch the horrible remake. I'm watching Sands of the Kalahari now. Also from 1965 and a plane crash in desert plot. Very similar; I wonder if one inspired the other. You should check it out!
