Female characters funny looking…

I've just watched the first 16 episodes in one hit (over a couple of days - I'm off work sick so am watching lots of DVDs), and I found the male marionettes in this show surprisingly, and creepingly, realistic - except for the female Angels, who are really disproportionate and badly drawn (ie, their eyes and eyebrows are bit wonky looking). Not to mention that a couple of them have amazingly disporportiate and weirdly place breasts (especially the dark haired one).
Also, all of them (male and female) have no emotional faces, unlike Thunderbirds where they changed heads (smiling head, angry head, concentrating head). At one point Col White tells Lt Green to wipe the smile off his face, but his head has the bland expression it always has.
At the same time it is a bit of an evolution to have female characters doing 'male' stuff (flying planes) but they don't do much else. Strange.
And talking about strange - it's a bit odd that the coloured uniforms the boys wear make them stick out like sore thumbs even when I would've assumed they would've wanted to do 'secret' agents type stuff, like when Cpt Blue wants to track down Cpt Scarlet whose quit Spectrum.
Anyway, technically a good show and great idea (Battlestar Galatica has the same sort of 'spy agents' running around as sabatoeurs) but won't replace the other Anderson shows that I loved from childhood. -
