I think it can only be considered good in the context of the time that it was released. Because everything back then was cheesy and crappy, so maybe this was just less so.

I prefer Next Generation. OG series was ahead of its time, but its age shows.
The creator is a leftist, and the show has a leftist undertone, which probably adds to the popularity with younger people.

I'm unsure. I'm definitely as far as socialist. Not sure what kind of socialism I support, but not the Stalinist, Maoist type of authoritarian leftism. Still learning and exploring.
Kinda go backand forth on true Marxist communism and different forms of socialism.
