Kirk & crew were probably just happy that Rojan & his crew were persuaded not to kidnapp them for 300 yrs. And 300 yrs later invade The Milky Way.

Was it ever later determined just how big Rojan's species was? Like in a novel or the cartoon.

One thing always bothered me about this excellent episode. When the miners escape their Enterprise guards near the end, they club them with what looks like wooden clubs. One poor red shirt gets it 3 times. Hard to believe no permanent injuries. But there are no repercussions to this assault.
                It does make one wonder.
But it's like all TV shows and movies are guilty of Hollywood-logic. We had a discussion over at the Risky Business forum talking about Cruise's character and the prostitutes he was dealing with. Would he really be able to get away with everything in the movie? Eh, probably not. "The In Laws", "Treasure of the Yankee Zephyr" the list just goes on and on of characters breaking the law and not suffering repercussions.
But it's actually part of why we go to the movies or watch TV, so we can see people get away with stuff that we can't in real life, and in this way get it out of our systems, so to speak.
It's all fiction in the and.

It was only Mr. Leslie getting bonk, bonked on the head.
