Pi is exactly what i was thinking of. the style throughout reminded me of Pi and i sence that Aronofsky had seen this before making his movie (which in my opinion is way better, if unrelated plotwise)

      Rosemary's Baby? Soylent Green?
They aren't really similar in plot terms, but just for the subterfuge of the enterprise

I was just going to say that, Dave! "Marathon Man" came to my mind near the ending.

As others have remarked, Hiroshi Teshigahara's "Tanin no kao" ("The Face of Another") is a perfect companion piece to this film.

My vote is for "Mr. Buddwing". Also from 1966 and starring another "all-American everyman", James Garner:

The Conversation, Videodrome, Rosemary's Baby, 3 Women. All of these films get under your skin and make you uncomfortable.

How about 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' almost lighter almost darker.

Agree, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", would be a great double bill.
If however you want your second movie to be the antidote for "Seconds", I'd choose "Groundhog Day". Bill Murray gets seconds, thirds, forths, fifths.

Another vote for "The Swimmer", which is also a 'what the hell did I do with my life?' film. "Mr. Buddwing" is a good suggestion because it also deals with feeling disoriented about one's identity.
