TCM disappoints.

TCM has just shown a 130 min. version of The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968) which is the same length as the region 1 DVD. I hope if they come out with a Blu Ray version they will do it as a full length version (138 min.?) and then Turner might show that version. I always thought Turner looked for the best, most complete version of a film to show, but this is just sloth.

I have always known the movie to be about 130 minutes. The difference in listed running time may be that it was trimmed slightly before being released in North America or the extra eight minutes may have been due to an overture, entreacte and exit music used during the movies very limited roadshow runs.
Anyone else offer a theory. -

TCM have also shown some older films that look like they've been recorded by a video camera pointing at an editing screen.
One was so bad that the movement of screen juddered and the colour looked liked a street pastille painting on which it was raining.
I've come to conclusion that they don't care.
